Eight Beaches in Thailand Named Amongst Top Beaches in Asia Based on Reviews and Opinions from Millions of Travelers on TripAdvisor
TripAdvisor™, the world’s largest travel site*, today announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice TM awards for Beaches. In its second year, the awards recognise more than 322 beaches globally, including top lists for Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, South America, the South Pacific and the U.S.
“For those planning their next holiday destination by the sand and sea, these award-winning beaches serve as inspiration,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. “Just looking at the photos will take you away for a moment, until you can plan a trip.”
Eight beaches in Thailand were featured in the Top 25 Beaches in Asia, with Phuket’s Nai Harn Beach as well as Krabi’s Railay Beach and Phra Nang Beach ranked number five, seven and ten respectively. On average, Nai Harn Beach has seen a 22 percent increase year-over-year in share of international search traffic on TripAdvisor for the one month period between January 20-February 19.

Travellers’ Choice Beaches Award-winners were determined based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings for beaches on TripAdvisor gathered over a 12-month period.
