Photo Release: Dow Chemical Thailand organizes Community Advisory Panel’s Seminar Tour 2014

Bangkok--21 Mar--Siam PR Consultant Dow Chemical Thailand Ltd., led by Poranee Kongamornpinyo, Public Affairs Manager, organized the “2014 Community Advisory Panel’s Seminar Tour” to strengthen the company’s relationships with the government sectors and local communities. Including Suchin Poonhiran, Ban Chang Sub-District Mayor, and Tada Soontonphan, Office Director of Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Map Ta Phut), a group of 39 community leaders and government officials in Rayong, who are members of the Community Advisory Panel for Dow Chemical’s plants at the Asia Industrial Estate, were led on a tour to learn about sufficiency economy management and the green village concept at Ban Jumrung, a model self-sufficient community in Neon Kho Sub-District, Rayong. The activity aimed to widen the perspective of the community leaders and government officials, and equip them with knowledge they can apply in order to improve the quality of life and to encourage self-reliance in their own communities. In addition, the team got to release 500 sea bass at the Prasae estuary in Pak Nam Prasae Sub-District to replenish nature and support fisheries in the area where is the location that Dow Chemical has been organizing mangrove planting activities for the past five years.
