President and Chief Executive OfficerEdward Tracy, “Our partnership continues to be a fruitful one, and hosting star-studded events like the China Music Awards is an important part of our multi-tiered entertainment strategy.With television and online viewership by millions across China and around the world, these types of superstar events helpraise the global profile of Macaoas a world-class leisure and entertainment destination.” In attendance with Tracy at the press conference were Chief Director Lu Weiand Executive Director Sun Minof the 18th Channel [V] China Music Awards and Asian Influential Power; NiuWeidong, Assistant President of Konka Group,celebrities SunNan, Valen Hsu and Yang Yuying, along with Lau Junyin and Xiang Yahong from the TV program “Sing My Song.” “As the most influential and longest-standing music awards in Asia, the China Music Awards has always been dedicated to promoting outstanding Chinese music culture, and is the only large-scale awards show in the world that has been held in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and mainland China,” said Sun. “The show has also attracted a large number of stars and celebrities to attend, received positive response from the audiences and enjoyed massive broadcast coverage. We hope that this year’s awards show can continue to express our thoughts and exploration of Chinese music, and also our respect and gratitude to the musicians.” The China Music Awards launched in 1994 and has since gathered the nation’s top music industry talent in host cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Macaoand Taipei. It is the only Chinese music awards show that is telecast in China and around the world.
