Sands Retail Academy Holds Very First Graduation Ceremony

Bangkok--21 Mar--Jigsaw Communications Over 200graduates complete programme to offer enhanced experience and service to Sands China’s Shoppes customers The first group of graduates of Sands Retail Academy attended a ceremonyat The Venetian Macao Thursday afternoon to accept their certificatesfor successfully completing thetraining programme launched in November 2013 by Sands Retailand Sands China’s Ltd.’sHuman Resources department, aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and shopping experience by improving the quality of service at Shoppes at Four Seasons, Shoppes at Venetian and Shoppes at Cotai Central. Over 60 retailers including Gucci, Tiffany & Co., Butani,Bulgari,Damiani, Nike and Swatch Group took part in the training programme at Sands Retail Academy at The Venetian Macao. The programme currently contains three modules: Put Your Best Face Forward: Improving Your Image;Service and Selling Skills; and Handling Complaints and Difficult Situations.Once participants finish the threetraining modules, they receive certificates signifying their successful completion. A second programme will be launched covering topics such as Sands Rewards Club and the Sands Loyalty Program.The goal of the Academyis to provide thoughtful and high-end service, thereby ensuring that customers will always have an enjoyable and memorable shopping experience.“One of the important reasons we created the Sands Retail Academy was to provide benefits to our retailers, by offering training courses that help develop employeesthat are confident, skilled, and professional,thereby helping enhance Shoppes’position as a world-class shopping destination,” said Derinda Brown, Vice President of Retail Marketing, Venetian Macau Limited,who was present at Thursday’sceremony, and commented on the programme. Antonio Ramirez, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Venetian Macau Limitedsaid:“The Academy has been very successful so far, and we’ve enjoyed a great response in terms of participation. We’ve had over 200 students complete courses since November, coming from over 60 different retailers throughout the three malls.Through this training, we are providing the skill sets employees need to help them move upward in their careers.”
