The Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok proudly presents “Gala Dinner of Confrérie du Sabre, Where Sword meets Bottle” on Tuesday 1st April 2014 at 7:00pm. The art of Sabrage is a technique for opening a Champagne bottle with a sabre by chopping the top off the bottle for memorable occasions. This technique became popular in France when the army of Napoleon visited many of the aristocratic domains.
The evening will begin with the traditional Sabrage ceremony conducted by Jean-Claude Jalloux, the founder of la Confrérie du Sabre d’ Or at the lobby and will be followed with a Gala Dinner at Da Vinci restaurant, the fine dining restaurant on the 4th floor of the Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok.
Enjoy an elegant evening featuring a sumptuous five course menu with highlights such as Smoked Oyster, Foie-gras, Tiger Prawn, Suckling Pig and Caviar paired with signature Champagnes from G.H. Mumm and wines from Vinum Lector.
The price of five-course menu is THB 3,600 net per person and THB 5,700 net per person including experience Sabrage of one bottle of Champagne yourself. A special evening asks for a special dress code, therefore guests in black tie are warmly welcomed.
