Ms Tipaporn Koonphol (Deputy General Manager), the Management Team, Team Members and guests of Amari Phuket recently took part in Earth Hour – the world’s largest global climate change event joining hundreds of millions of people throughout the world in a commitment to help create a more sustainable planet. They participated by switching off all non-essential lighting for one hour from 08:30 to 09:30 on 29 March 2014.
Many guests joined us in this important and inspiring effort by switching off the lights and air conditioners in their rooms during Earth Hour. The guests enjoyed the day even more by taking it beyond the hour with a special charcoal BBQ at Rim Talay Restaurant. Guests were able to try Thai specialties like Tom Yum served in young coconut shells or sticky rice in banana leaves. Breeze Spa got into the action as well by offering a special Earth Hour massage.
