SCB Securities (SCBS) has introduced 10 new derivative warrants (DWs) with a tenor of 10 months, including BBL23C1501A, BBL23P1501A, KBAN23C1501A, KBAN23P1501A, PTTG23C1501A, PTTG23P1501A, DTAC23C1501A, DTAC25P1501A, INTU23C1501A, and INTU23P1501A.
Based on underlying stocks with strong fundamentals (blue chips), investment in these DWs will be at lower risk from price manipulation for speculative purposes compared to DWs based on underlying small-cap stocks.
The new DWs will be offered for sale in the form of both call and put warrants, enhancing profit-making opportunities whenever underlying stock prices rise or decline and giving investors a chance to invest in both types of warrants.
With the introduction, the number of call warrants issued by SCBS will increase to 39 units and that of put warrants to 9 units to better cater to the various needs of investors. The new DWs will begin trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on April 1.
In addition, SCBS will provide investors with a “Price Guideline” investment assistance tool featuring a table of buyback offers by the market maker. With the tool, investors will be in a position to valuate DW prices properly when compared with prices of underlying stocks and the remaining tenors. Calculation is made using the Black-Scholes model under the assumption established by the market maker. DW prices will be guaranteed based on the buyback offer table under conditions set by the market maker. Investors can study conditions and how to apply the tool at www.scbs.com/DW.
