Magazine to focus on fun, readily digestible, travel information responding to growing traveler numbers
Celebrating 10 years alongside the Thai people, AirAsia has introduced a new edition of its Travel3SIXTY Thailand (Travel Three Sixty Thailand) in-flight magazine in Thai and Chinese, responding to the continual expansion of travel between Thailand and China. The airline also announced its collaboration with “PHAR Partnership” as the magazine’s exclusive advertisement procurer.
Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, said “the Travel3SIXTY Thailand magazine focuses on presenting travel information in a 360 degree view with knowledge on trips for all of AirAsia’s 14 domestic and 21 international destinations, with each highlighted in their own edition of the magazine. The accurate information is presented in a simple format and offers a wide array of travel styles, such as low cost and solo. Apart from the essential information, the magazine will also provide variety articles such as updates on activities, products, local services, fashion, technology, dining and health and horoscopes”
Mr. Natthawach Siriwongsal, Head of Ancillary for Thai AirAsia, added that “AirAsia began placing the Thai-Chinese Travel3SIXTY Thailand magazine on all of its FD flights in December 2013 and observed that they received considerable attention, especially from Thai and Chinese passengers, due to the relatable and useful content of the periodicals. We have continued to develop the magazine so that it becomes a companion for travelers as well as a tool for the airline’s communication”.
Travel3SIXTY Thailand is a four color, 80 page monthly magazine (each edition is released on the first of the month). Each month, up to 11 thousand of the magazines are printed and placed in the seats of Thai AirAsia flights (FD), totaling 37 airplanes (as of the end of March). Thai AirAsia has also joined with PHAR Partnership Plc., making it the exclusive advertisement procurer for Travel3SIXTY Thailand. Information on advertising in the magazine can be found by contacting PHAR Partnership Thailand at Tel. 0868900898 / 021293156.
Thai AirAsia in 2013 transported 10.5 million people, 26% more than the previous year, while increasing its seating capacity by 25%. In 2014, Thai AirAsia expects to transport 13.3 million people with increases to flight frequencies both domestically and to China, both from Bangkok and provincial flight bases. The new edition of Travel3SIXTY Thailand is expected to suit the development well.
