Photo Release: Thaicom arranges a broadcaster seminar getting prepared for the 1 April digital-TV trial run and accommodating the Must Carry rule

Bangkok--2 Apr--Thaicom Thaicom Public Company Limited, plays a leading role in broadcasting value chain by organizing a seminar for Thai broadcasters and set-top box providers with the topic “The Preparation of Over-the-Air feature (OTA) to Accommodate the Must Carry Rule”. The seminar was led by Mr. Ekachai Phakdurong, Vice President-Corporate Affairs (Forth from left) who explained about the regulations and the OTA process as well as technical guidelines to support the Must Carry rule. This has supported a smooth transition from analogue to digital platform for all terrestrial-based digital TV programs which reaches almost every household in Thailand. At the seminar, Mrs. Kuntima Uawithya, Vice President – Marketing&Sales-Thailand&Territory 1 (Third from right) has also welcomed the participants at the Thaicom satellite station-Kae Rai.provided a seminar to broadcasters and Set-Top-Box providers about over-the-air features (OTA). Vice President, Khun Ekachai Phakdurong lectured on "The regulations", "The action plan for OTA” and also “A clarification for the technical guidelines to support the Must Carry rules”. The seminar was held on March 26, 2014 at the Thaicom satellite station.
