Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15 went dark for one hour from 8.30pm – 9.30pm to support Earth Hour on Saturday 29 March 2014. We also took the extra steps by combining sustainability effort and fund raising for Baan Wang Tor Samakki School in Uthai Thani province.
The hotel participated by dimming the interior public area lighting and the switching off exterior lighting. Our guests were invited to light the candles and placed on the board to create more awareness about Earth Hour.
How do we raise the fund for Baan Wang Tor Samakki School? A donation box was placed at the lobby. Candles were sold as a symbol of the Earth Hour campaign and the sales of these candles are in support of the school’s educational resources and supplies for the school. Our guests were happy to purchase the candles and donate their money to create a better world for these deficient students.
Every year, our amBar rooftop hosts an “Earth Hour” party offering guests themed cocktails to bring about more awareness to save our planet.
Together we can … we were proud to be a part of this global effort. We created an impact from the ground up and the better world for everyone.
