Bangkok--4 Apr--Asian Institute of Technology
France’s Ambassador to Thailand H.E Mr. Thierry Viteau on 20 March 2014 said he would continue to support the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) "in heart and mind" and “ through the promotion of collaboration with French universities and institutions.”
The ambassador made the comment at a meeting with Chairman of the AIT Board of Trustees Dr. Subin Pinkayan and Interim President Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, who led an AIT delegation to the French Residence, Bangkok.
As a founding member of AIT in 1959, France has been a longtime supporter of the institute. The officials explored how France, in its capacity as a strategic partner, could continue to work with AIT. Mr. Roy highlighted AIT’s successful collaboration with numerous French Institutions, such as CIRAD and Telecom SudParis, and stated he would like to see such cooperation continue and expand.
