Visa payWave promotion to reward Thai cardholders with exclusive offers
McDonald’s customers can leave their cash at home and experience the benefits of faster, hassle-free transactions with Visa payWave contactless payments now accepted at McDonald’s restaurants across Thailand.
The acceptance of Visa payWave at McDonald’s restaurants is the latest development in the growing adoption of Visa contactless payment technology in Thailand.

With Visa payWave, the card doesn’t need to be swiped by the sales assistant, and no signature or PIN (Personal Identification Number) is required for purchases under THB 1,500. It enables Visa cardholders to make faster payments in a convenient and secure manner.
To celebrate the growth of Visa payWave across Thailand, Visa and McDonald’s havepartnered to provide anexclusive offer for Visa payWave cardholders. From 1 April until the end of June 2014Visa cardholders will receive THB 150 cash back for every three contactless Visa payWave transactions they complete and McDonald’s customers can enjoy an exclusive buy one get one free with 4 selected menus as Filet-O-Fish, Samurai Pork Burger, Deluxe Cheeseburger and Spicy Chicken Burger throughout the promotion period[1].
Visa payWave transactions are as secure as other Visa chip card transactions and carry the same multiple layers of security. In addition, with Visa payWave, the card never leaves your hand, which reduces the risk of fraud.
