Bangkok--28 Apr--124 Communications Consulting The Stock Exchange of Thailand: – Mr. Parphan Siriviriyakul, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KTIS, Which is one of Thailand’s leading sugar business with the largest capacity in the world - 55,000 sugarcane tons per day- revealed that KTIS has been receiving an excellent response both from its IPO, during 21-23 April, and from the trade in the SET. The embrace is from both institutions and retails investors, including sugarcane farmers who want to own a factory. KITS has begun its trading in the Stock Exchange of Thailand on April 28 in Food and Beverage sector under the code name “KTIS”. "The stock available in the SET accounting for 24.6 percent of the registered capital of the Company, or 957,827,000 shares, among which 585,427,000 are new share offered to investors during the IPO. With the IPO price of 10 baht –par value of 1 baht- KTIS has raised more than 5.854 billion. (5,854,270,000 Baht) The Company plans to invest 1.4 billion baht into building two biomass power plants using bagasse as fuel, which added a further 100 megawatts capacity to its already massive power plant. Approximately 980 million baht will be invested in Syrup Operation Project (Liquid Sugar) and of Super Refined Sugar Project and another 20 million baht will be utilized in bio fertilizer production. The rest will be working capital, in which 2.08 billion baht (2,082,300,000 baht) is set aside for an issue of ordinary share to Singapore strategic shareholders.” Mr. Parphan says “KTIS owns 3 sugar factories: Kaset Thai Sugar Factory, Thai Identity Sugar Factory and Ruamphol Sugar Factory. Kaset Thai Sugar Factory has the world’s largest production capacity of 55,000 sugarcane tons per day. Combining with that of Thai Identity Sugar Factory -18,000 sugarcane tons per day- and Ruamphol Sugar Factory -15,000 sugarcane tons per day, KTIS will have a total capacity of 88,000 sugarcane tons per day.” “Apart from sugarcane and sugar industries, KTIS Group also operates fully integrated manufacturers and distributors include bleached pulp from bagasse, production and distribution of ethanol, biomass power business and manufacture and distributor of bio fertilizers, etc. The main customers of the company are mostly industrial leading companies such as Thainamthip, Carabao Tawandang, Lactasoy, Nestle, Friesland Campina, Osodsapa to name a few. KTIS also exports to world’s leading trading companies," adds Mr. Parphan. “KTIS group 2013 performance shows revenues from sales and services of 18.052 billion baht (not include other income of 787 million baht) with a total revenue of 18.052 billion Baht, 80 percent come from sugarcane and sugar business and 20 percent come from downstream industries including ethanol business, 8.6 percent, bleached pulp from bagasse, 8.3 percent, biomass power business, 1.5 percent and other business, 2.9 percent,” Mr. Parphan reveals.
