At the exclusive event, lovers of fine dining can enjoy a memorable evening of outstanding modern Italian cuisine and wine pairings while helping to raise much needed funds for a great cause, “Insulin for Life”, a charity dedicated to providing crucial insulin and diabetes supplies to Third World countries. Motivational guest speaker and person with diabetes, Jerry Gore, will be present at the dinner. Jerry is an internationally acclaimed climber and one of Britain's most prolific expedition leaders. In his 35 years climbing career, he has excelled on rock, ice and high-altitude peaks - often with notable and extreme first ascents.
Despite dealing with the chronic effects of Type 1 insulin dependent diabetes, Jerry continues to push his limits in climbing. He has taken part in ambitious adventures to raise money for diabetes charities including in 2012 ‘Jerry’s Insulin Challenge’ when he became the first Briton to complete the Northern Alps three hardest walls; Mont Blanc’s Pilier D’Angle, the Eiger’s North Face, and the South Face of the Marmolada. In the intimate setting of Rossini’s, Jerry will delight diners with an inspiring talk about his extraordinary life and his dedication to helping other people with diabetes in countries in need.
At the “Insulin for Life” Fund-raising Dinner at Rossini’s, diners will not only enjoy exceptional Italian cuisine, they will also be able to take part in an auction and bid for vintage wines, golf clubs and drivers, luxury brand name products such as Montblanc, Davidoff and more, or stays in specialty suites and pool villas at renowned Starwood properties, and much more.
