Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin makes his inaugural tour with the world-renowned orchestra with the 2014 Residency and Tour of Asia. Widely recognized for his musicianship, dedication, and charisma, Nézet-Séguin has established himself as a musical leader of the highest calibre and one of the most exciting talents of his generation. He continues his inspired leadership as the eighth music director of The Philadelphia Orchestra, which began in the fall of 2012. His highly collaborative style, deeply-rooted musical curiosity, and boundless enthusiasm, paired with a fresh approach to orchestral programming, have been heralded by critics and audiences alike. For over 20 years, the Macao Orchestra has played an important role in the cultural life of Macao, with Lü Jia taking over as Music Director and Principal Conductor in September 2008.
