Central FamilyMart Co., Ltd. launches new Distribution Center in the Eastern Region to support its sales target of 17,000 Million Baht in 2014 and facilitate its business expansion plan to increase FamilyMart stores to 3,000 branches by 2017.
Mr. Nath Vongphanich, Chief Executive Officer of Central FamilyMart Co., Ltd., the operator of the original FamilyMart Convenience Store in Thailand, discloses “Presently, FamilyMart has a total of 1,079 stores nationwide and plans to roll-out more than 300 new branches in 2014 in correspondent with the company’s business plan to expand its new FamilyMart stores to 3,000 branches by 2017. As a result, the company needs to extend the efficiency of warehouse and logistics system in order to facilitate the increased volume of its product distribution. Lately, FamilyMart has launched a new Distribution Center in the Eastern region at TPARK Sriracha.
Central FamilyMart has rented warehouse with a total space of 5,850 sq m. at TPARK Sriracha to serve as its new Distribution Center for the Eastern Region. The Center will be responsible for distribution of retail and consumer products to over 300 FamilyMart stores in Eastern region covering Chonburi, Pattaya, Rayong, etc.
“The strategic location of TPARK Sriracha is key to our decision to open our new regional Distribution Center in the Logistics Park. The easy access of TPARK Sriracha to main roads connecting all regions will help improve our operational efficiency and hence reduce supply-chain costs. The center also operates fully computerized logistics management with ASRS System (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) and Picking System which will help facilitate fast transportation to deliver products to our customers within 24 hours.” said Mr. Nath.

With an investment of approximately 2 billion baht, TPARK plans to develop a total space of 138,000 sq m of warehouses for lease.
