On May 10, 2014, Sunshine Hotels & Resorts hosted an Annual Scholarship Ceremony and a lunch at Sunshine Garden Resort, located on Soi 22 Pattaya-Naklua Road, for hotel staff members and their children.
Sunshine Hotels & Resorts' Group President Mr. Sunt Supornsahasrungsri presided over the ceremony. The Management representative including, Group Executive Directors Mr. Thanet Supornsahasrungsri, Mr. Thana Supornsahasrungsri and Mrs. Rassmiman Supornsahasrungsri were in attendance for the presentation of the Scholarships. The enjoyable ceremony commenced at 10.30am and continued through lunchtime.
It is a longstanding policy of the Sunshine Group to support hotel staff and their families. One practical way of doing this has been to contribute towards the education expenses of the children of loyal hotel staff members through the awarding of scholarships. Each year, scholarships provided by the Sunshine Group are aimed at encouraging their staff member’s children to get the most out of education.
This year, Sunshine Hotels & Resorts awarded 107 scholarships worth 231,500 baht to children of hotel staff employed in the seven hotels and resorts of the Sunshine Group: Sunshine Hotel & Residences (17 Scholarships), Loma Resort & Spa (2), The Green Park Resort (24), Sunshine Garden Resort (19), Sunshine Vista (7) and Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa (38). The latest addition to the Sunshine Group, the SunXclusive Hotel near Pattaya’s Walking Street, had no eligible recipients. Kindergarten scholarships were valued at 1,500 baht, those for primary school level (grades 1 - 6) at 2,000 baht, high school level (years 1 - 6) at 2,500 baht, and bachelor degree level at 3,000 baht.
