Bangkok--22 May--Grayling Thailand
A group of junior bakers recently demonstrated their skills at a cooking workshop organized by IKEA for their Småles Club members.
As well as learning the happiness of sharing and how to bake cupcakes, the children could raise 12,000 baht for charity. They generated the money by selling their sweet treats.
The proceeds (and a matching donation from IKEA) was recently presented to Father Joseph Maier (center), the founder of the Mercy Center by Supharoek Wichianchot (left), Deputy Business Navigator of IKEA Thailand, and Warakorn Wongzaicome (right) from IKEA Thailand’s Sustainability Committee.
Småles is IKEA’s non-profit program for children aged between 4-12 years old. Småles Club members are taught life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and recycling through fun activities and games.
