At the Negro Angelo E Figli Wine Dinner diners will enjoy an exceptional 5-course menu of the chef’s modern Italian cuisine created especially to pair with fine Piedmont wines.
The relaxed evening will begin with delicious savory bites and a welcome glass of light and floral Follador Prosecco Gold. Seated in the enchanting Tuscan villa setting of Rossini’s, diners will be served scampi with sea urchin espuma, oyster leaves and caviar complemented by Serra Lupini Roero Arneis 2012. A Silver Medal Winner at the “Sommelier Wine Awards 2013”, this lightly perfumed white wine with balanced acidity and a creamy texture proves the perfect match for the enticing seafood. The second dish of the evening will be raviolo filled with ricotta cheese, egg yolk and shavings of summer truffle paired with Negro Dina Barbera 2012, an intensely colored red wine with a soft elegant taste and hints of plum, cherry and bilberry. Diners will also enjoy bean soup with mussels and bottarga of mussels with Wine Enthusiast 88 point awarded Negro Cascinotta Barbaresco 2009, and succulent venison tenderloin with celery root and pomegranate sauce served with the full-bodied and well-structured Negro Sudisfa Roero 2004.
The gourmet dinner will end on a sweet note with a milk risotto with vanilla, bicolor Rainier cherries and a refreshing sorbet paired with the dessert wine Birbet Moscato Rosso 2012, followed by petit fours and coffee or tea.
