Bangkok--27 May--Millennium Hilton Bangkok
The culinary splendours of Ancient China is recreated in a stunning, contemporary setting at Yuan, where, in the restaurant’s masterfully crafted main dining room or in sumptuous private rooms, guests can enjoy an unparalleled culinary voyage through the Middle Kingdom. Yuan located on the 2nd floor of Millennium Hilton Bangkok, Klongsan Road that showcases an extraordinary panoramic view over the city and across the Chao Phraya River.
Yuan translates from Chinese as ‘Source’ or ‘Fountain’, underlining not just the authentic flavours create in this dazzling restaurant but also an aquatic theme that reflects Yuan’s unrivalled waterside views.
Unlimited dim sum is available each day at lunch times, cooked in the open kitchen by our talented chef who is the man responsible for a seamless marrying of Chinese traditional flavours - with a unique twist of Thailand.
Whether feasting on his succulent Peking Duck, or dipping into the array of Cantonese steamed delicacies, which have made dim sum one of the world’s most favourite meals, our chef’s many years of experience are exemplified in the menu’s extensive dishes, and lately he finds an easy way for your fingertips. The iron chef offers you with full Chinese menu description and nice wine pairing on IPAD display.
To go with Cantonese and regional favourites, Yuan offers not just a vast range of New and Old world wines but one of Bangkok’s greatest collection of rare teas, such as the much sought-after, nut-flavoured white tea known as Bai Hao Yin Zhen, (Silver Needle), plucked from China’s top tea-growing region, Fujian province, or the equally prized dark and smokey-flavoured Oolong tea from Taiwan’s 2500m high mountain ranges of Ali Shan.
Teas are served in the traditional manner using what the Chinese once termed a ‘long mouthed’ copper tea pot. Pouring a humble cup of tea becomes a feat of mastery - as well as an entertaining spectacle!
This immaculate riverside restaurant’s distinctive decor will appeal equally to sophisticated businessmen as much as to young couples, or newly-weds looking for a Chinese banquet like no other.
Yuan’s design goes beyond the banale Chinese eatery, fusing clean minimalism with striking colours: Imperial scarlet, gold and bitter chocolate.
This is Bangkok’s first truly contemporary Chinese dining venue of distinction, a venue synonymous with the sizzle of modern Bangkok, and the best of classic Cantonese cooking.
