TPI All Seasons and the Eastman Chemical Company entered into an agreement today for the taking over of the Vistasolar activities. The transaction involves a transfer of Vistasolar licensed technology, machinery and market share. It is expected that the encapsulant film production can be resumed by the end of June 2014 to continue supplying the European customer basis. With the acquisition TPI All Seasons will be able to add an additional production capacity of approximately 20,000 tons a year to its existing EVA film lines.
TPI Polene's (the parent company of TPI All Seasons) continuing industrial success has always been closely linked with the integration of high tech solutions in what is often labeled a 'traditional industry', i.e. cement and EVA / LDPE production. TPI Polene is proud to announce that it is on course to become the first 'zero emission' manufacturer in the world through its efforts to produce green energy. The strategic decision in 2007 to start with the production of solar film is in line with this vision.
