DHL strengthens services for Thailand’s Life sciences and Healthcare industry

Bangkok--24 Jun--Aziam Burson-Marsteller - Introduces new temperature-controlled packaging with launch in Thailand - Offers the complete range of Thermo Packaging for DHL MEDICAL EXPRESS DHL Express, the world’s leading express service provider, has launched a new range of temperature-controlled packaging as part of its DHL MEDICAL EXPRESS[1] services in Thailand. The new offering provides options for temperature sensitive shipments categorized in three most commonly required temperature zones, namely ambient (15 - 25 degrees Celsius), chilled (2 - 8 degrees Celsius) and frozen (-20 degrees Celsius). “The biomedical industry is an important pillar that supports Thailand’s economic growth, with companies tapping into the multidisciplinary capabilities available for clinical research and trials here. At DHL, we always place our customers’ needs first and ensure that the highest of industry standards are met.” The new packaging is available in eleven sizes - four sizes for ambient temperatures, three sizes each for refrigerated and frozen temperatures and a combo box that is suitable for both ambient and frozen temperatures. Labeling for the range of temperature-controlled packaging is compliant with IATA’s (International Air Transport Association) regulations on the transportation of Category B[2] Biological Substances. DHL MEDICAL EXPRESS is offered in over 70 countries and regions across Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania, and now supplies packaging materials which have uniform specifications to pharmaceutical companies and CROs (Contract Research Organizations). Advanced tracking technologies are used to ensure that the specific requirements of time and temperature sensitive Life Sciences shipments are met during transition.
