“Bei Otto” the German Institution in Bangkok appoints Alexander von Wnuk-Lipinski as new Chef de Cuisine

Bangkok--7 Jul--Bei Otto Mr Alexander Schillinger, General Manager of Bei Otto Company Ltd most recently appointed Alexander von Wnuk-Lipinski as the new Chef de Cuisine for taking up the whisk at the iconic German restaurant in Sukhumvit Soi 20. A German national, Alexander brings with him over 18 years’ culinary experience from Germany and Australia. He started out his career as an apprentice chef at the Hotel Restaurant Deutsches Haus in Obernkirchen, Germany and from there made his way across many renown restaurants including assignments at The Pavilion in Sydney, The Restaurant @ The Art Gallery in Sydney, The Doltone House in Sydney and the historical Gasthof Obermeier in Munich, just to mention a few. “It is a privilege and I am very thrilled to take up this new challenge, especially knowing we are celebrating the 30th Anniversary of this iconic German restaurant later this year” He further explains “Moving forward, my inspiration is that my fresh approach to German cuisine will excite our guests and we will be able to show what other awesome creations culinary Germany has to offer. Prior to joining Bei Otto Bangkok, Alexander von Wnuk-Lipinski was holding the Head Chef position at Dicke Sophie restaurant in Munich being responsible for the restaurants and catering kitchen operation.
