Bangkok--9 Jul--Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa
Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa is delighted to launch the Mangrove Project in Koh Samui as part of the proud partnership between Marriott International and IUCN (International Union of Conversation for Nature) for a sustainable future. In launching the Mangrove Project under this partnership, a total of 12 ambassadors (associates) joined hands and headed out to the area of Pru Pa Long - an aquatic area in need for mangroves. The resort is thrilled to have achieved an amazing planting of 200 mangroves! Further to this, associates also engaged in forest cleaning and adjoin areas, leaving no litter behind, repairing and reconditioning all walking bridges in the area.
As with every CSR purpose, it is important to communicate and so associates have also installed educational boards about Mangroves habitat as well as the purpose of the partnership between Marriott International and IUCN. With dedication to a cleaner future, Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa schedules a monthly visit committing to preserve and conserve the Mangroves and continuously maintain the bridges as well as quarterly Mangrove planting activities. More excitingly, the resort has included this as the new Navigator Program tour in order to provide guests the opportunity to go out and be part of the local and regional environmental cause on top of enjoying a relaxing holiday retreat making it a more meaningful experience.
