Four Pattana Co., Ltd, a qualified-level house built firm starts launching a new system bearing earthquake up to 6.9 Richter scale. This project will build more confidence to consumers as the current housing regulation prescribe only 5.0 Richter scale. The cost will be increased 0.5-1.0%. The company profit in the year of 2014 (A.D. 2557) is expected to grow 3.6% more.
Mr. PramoteTrirakul, a Managing Director of Four Pattana Co., Ltd has revealed that 6.3 Richter scale earthquake hitting Chiangrai province in May this year is an alarm that needs to be realized that earthquake is getting more severe as Thailand rarely faces this kind of natural disaster before. The company itself who are in house-built business for the past 33 years has a vision to build confidence to consumers who plan to build a 2 or 3 floors house by developing it to be able to bear the disaster by increasing strength to housing structure so that it could bear earthquake up to 6.0-6.9 Richter scale. While according to recent housing regulation, it only specify that housing structure has to be able to bear earthquake up to 5.0 Richter scale only.
At present, the nearest fault radius to Bangkok is Kanchanaburi province which is approximated 200 kilometers away. With this distance, if earthquake scale is not over 6.9 Richter, bearing earthquake housing system will be able to resist it. At the beginning stage, the company will start bringing this system to be used in some series of housing which are Green Series, Young Executive Series, Premium Series and Elegant Series.

The technique that we use is by adding casing at joint or at beam-pole meeting point which will make the structure firmer and stronger. However, this technique will costs more up to 400,000-100,000 THB per house or 0.5-1.0% of the price” Mr. Promote once said.
Mr. Opas Tatthawan, a Manager Of Marketing and Architecture Department, also added that in order to reinforce the bearing earthquake housing system, the company has prepared a special promotions for those who arrange house-built contract with the company in Post Today Investment Expo 2014 occurring during 31 July-2 August 2014 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and in Home Builder Expo 2014 during 21-24 August 2014 at the same place without additional expenses for building a stronger structure which will cost between 40,000-100,000 THB and together with an additional discount up to 1.28 Million Baht and normal discount 5-8%, equals to 330,000-690,000THB for the new housing designs which are FP 23P, FP 24P in Premium Series and Green -5 Green Series. Apart from that, if a reservation of other series is made in the exhibitions, there will be an additional discount 50,000-220,000THB together with the 10 years structural warranty.
