LINE Corporation, owner and operator of the free call and messaging app LINE, announced the release of the LINE GAME title LINE Let’s Get Rich for both iPhone and Android platforms. Play with up to three other players simultaneously in this real-time competitive game. After launched on July 8, 2014, LINE Let’s Get Rich has been ranking number 1 both App Store and Play Store.
LINE Let’s Get Rich is a board game that has players investing in real estate around the world and competing to get the highest amount of total capital. Real-time competition lets players compete or cooperate with friends and family they are connected with through LINE.
Players in LINE Let’s Get Rich can roll the dice and invest in real estate they land on, and other players must pay tolls to the owners of properties they land on. There are three ways that players can win the game. A “Triple Monopoly” occurs if a player achieves three “Color Monopolies” by owning all the properties of three different colors. A “Line Monopoly” will result in victory if a player owns all the properties in a single row. Finally, a player can win through a “Tourism Monopoly” if they manage to acquire all the tourist locations. The game will also be determined if any players run out of resources during the game, or until turns or time is over, with the player rankings being decided by the total amount of resources owned by each player.
A variety of modes offer single play as well as multiplayer competitive modes, and users can play against their LINE friends as well as in-game friends, competing individually or in 2-on-2 teams.
Cards obtained in-game can be used as player characters, and the unique characteristics of each can offer various advantages in the game. Cards can be combined to make new higher-class character cards or enhance existing cards, and players also can upgrade their own characters’ abilities by pendants. One more interesting feature is players can choose and upgrade their own dice to fit their own play style as well.
