Bangkok--27 Jul--Philippine Consulate, Chiangmai
By October 2014, the Philippine will be the first country among ASEAN nations to open a new Consulate in Chiangmai. Following the Thai Minister cabinet's resolution of April 22nd, 2014, the consulate will be lead by Mr. Agkarajit Phanomvan na Ayudhya as the Honorary Consul with consular jurisdiction over the provinces of Chiangmai, Chiangrai, Lampang, Lamphun, Mae Hong Son, Nan, Phayao, Prae and Uttaradit. Initially, the site for the consular has been selected in San Phranet sub-district of San Sai district in Chiangmai province.
