Mr. Derek Kidley, chief executive officer, PwC South East Asia Consulting, was one of the key speakers at the ‘Thailand is Back’ conference. He also appeared on NOW26 TV and shared his views on how to boost confidence in the Thai economy and business sector.
‘Thailand is Back’ was an international conference, spearheaded by the Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I) and co-organised by The Nation Multimedia Group, and saw some leading Thai chief executives and Bangkok-based foreign business leaders presenting and debating how Thailand will position itself as the hub of the Asean Economic Community.
The conference was held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok with renowned speakers such as Prof. Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, who delivered a keynote address on ‘Thailand’s Reform’; Kan Trakulhoon, President and CEO of SCG; Boonchai Chokwatana, Chairman of Saha Patanapibul PLC and well-known senior executives from many top Thai and foreign companies.
Joining the 500 invited guests were ambassadors and commercial counsellors as well as representatives from seven Thai private-sector organisations and local and foreign press.
