TCELS has shortlisted 10 selected teams that will go to the “i, MedBot 2014” contest round. We have moved one step closer to getting the best ideas that will receive the total prize money of 300,000 Baht and will be announced on 13 September 2014.
Dr. Nares Damrongchai, the CEO of TCELS, said that the medical robotics idea contest, “i,MedBot 2014: Bring Life, Brighten the World”, which invited creative ideas based on medical robotics technology for healthcare from participants of any nationality, gender and age, has received considerable interest from various groups including engineers, designers, researchers, medical personnel, professors, students and general public. The committee has shortlisted 10 selected teams that will go to the contest round.
Dr. Nares said that the 10 selected teams are 1. Viotehce for the idea of automatic sterilization of utensils, 2. Redek A for the SalSaurus idea, 3. Oab-Um for the idea on moving patients, 4. Knock-knocK for the device that counts fetus squirming, 5. Lab Life for the Patient Carrier Robot idea, 6. SPP7 for the Automatic Sterilization System of Surgical Devices idea, 7. BIE KMUTT for the Swarm robots for autism idea, 8. AIM Lab Mahidol for the idea of utilizing robots to help autistic children, 9. Rangbundarnjai for the Doctor Siam-ROBOT idea, and 10. Logistic for Health for the idea on utilizing industrial automation in hospital logistics.
The CEO of TCELS said that all the selected teams will present their ideas on the “i, MedBot 2014” stage on 13 September 2014 at Central Plaza Grand Rama 9, after which the committee will select the final winners. The first prize winner will receive 150,000 Baht, the second prize winner will receive 100,000 Baht and the third prize winner will receive 50,000 Baht.
