ROLLS-ROYCE APPOINTS HUGH VANIJPRABHA AS MANAGING DIRECTOR IN THAILAND

Bangkok--18 Aug--Weber Shandwick Rolls-Royce has appointed Mr Hugh Vanijprabha as Managing Director of Rolls-Royce (Thailand) Ltd. Mr Vanijprabha replaces Mr Ewen McDonald who recently moved to Singapore to take on a Senior Vice President role at the soon to be established Rolls-Royce Customer Service Center- Asia Pacific. Mr Vanijprabha joined Rolls-Royce in on 4 August 2014 and as Managing Director, he is responsible for overseeing all of Rolls-Royce’s activities in Thailand and Myanmar across key business sectors. Mr Vanijprabha, a British-Thai, was raised and trained in the UK in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He has a proven record ranging from research and development, sales and marketing to developing growth strategies for Thailand’s international trade and investment. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Mr Vanijprabha was Executive Director of Thai European Business Association (TEBA) which he founded in 2010. There, he served European investors in Thailand as a key interlocker with the Thai government in his latest role before joining Rolls Royce. During his tenure at TEBA, he’s lifted the association into prominence through various sector focused groups, including the Aerospace Committee who proposed the launch of a National Aviation Roadmap. Mr Vanijprabha said: "Rolls-Royce has a reputation for technological and innovative excellence.
