Bangkok--28 Aug--Marriott Executive Apartments Sukhumvit Park
Marriott Executive Apartments Sukhumvit Park Works to Protect the Environment and Support Local Communities through Mangrove Reforestation.
Marriott Executive Apartments Sukhumvit Park, together with associates and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), recently joined the reforestation activity to plant mangroves at mangrove forest in Bang Nam Phueng (Bang Kachao), Samutsakorn.
Planting mangroves is more than just a goodwill effort. Not only do Thailand’s mangrove forests serve as a haven for biodiversity and carbon collection, they also protect the coastline from severe storms and sea-level rise. Over the past 40 years, more than half of the country’s mangroves have been destroyed, and the hotel is partnering with IUCN to reverse the damage.
Guests can contribute to the reforestation efforts by making a donation of 30 THB per night while staying the hotel.
