Bangkok--4 Sep--Stuvik Racing Project
The European Formula Open Championship leader Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik from Thailand is prepared to defend his championship lead at Belgium’s Spa Francorchamps circuit. After the previous fifth round at Silverstone circuit in July, Sandy regained the championship lead with 188 points, against Spain’s Palou with 168 and Poland’s Janosz with 160 points.
In August Stuvik visited his family in Thailand for Mother’s day, as well as many Thai media outlets and fans to thank them for their support, but then returned back to Shape Driver Development center in Italy for more training and preparation for the next round.
Round 6 of the 2014 season will be held at Spa Francorchamps circuit on 6-7 September. Sandy said: “Spa is one of my absolute favorite circuits and I enjoyed great results last year here; double pole position and a first and a second place in the races. Of course as we saw during the Formula 1 race at Spa a week ago, the weather can be notoriously unpredictable in the Eiffel Mountains of Belgium, but I feel confident that we as a team can be strong contenders for a good position both in the dry and wet conditions."
Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik races for the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand and is sponsored by The Pizza Company, Singha Corporation, Dacon Inspection Services and Sports Authority of Thailand.
