DALLAS (Standard & Poor's) Sept. 4, 2014--Standard & Poor's Ratings Servicesplaced its 'AA' rating on West Orange Township, N.J.'s general obligation debton CreditWatch with negative implications.
This CreditWatch action follows Standard & Poor's repeated attempts to obtaintimely information of satisfactory quality to maintain its rating on thesecurities in accordance with its applicable criteria and policies.
If township officials fail to provide the requested information by Sept. 18,2014, the rating service will likely suspend the affected rating, preceded, inaccordance with its policies, by any change to the rating it considersappropriate given the available information.
