TripAdvisor[YW1], the world’s largest travel site*, today announced the appointment of Angie Vaux as Commercial Director, APAC, TripAdvisor for Business. Vaux will play a key role in growing TripAdvisor for Business’ presence in the Asia-Pacific, overseeing its regional sales team and delivering on the company’s commitment to help hotels and B&Bs attract more travellers and succeed in the online marketplace. “I am delighted to welcome Angie to the team and am pleased to have her leadership as we continue to build our operations throughout the region and communicate the many opportunities TripAdvisor provides property owners across Asia to gain access to the world's largest travel audience.” said Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business.
Prior to joining TripAdvisor, Angie held a variety of sales and marketing leadership positions in the technology industry. She comes to TripAdvisor from SAP, a leading provider of enterprise software and service. Her most recent position at SAP was Senior Director, Business Unit Head, South East Asia, where she led the strategic transformation and growth agenda of the company’s education and training business. Prior to this, she also served as SAP’S Asia Pacific Director for Education Inside Sales.

Angie began her career in London after graduating with a joint honours bachelor’s degree in European Business as well as French and German from Swansea University in Wales, United Kingdom. In 2005, she relocated to Asia and has spent the last nine years living and working in Singapore and Sydney.
She will be based in TripAdvisor’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore.
