Bangkok--8 Sep--Brand Now Internationally-acclaimed Japanese eatery IPPUDO recently opened its first outlet in Thailand at Central Embassy. Pictured at the restaurant opening, from left to right are: Mr Somboon Prasitjutrakul, shareholder of IPPUDO Thailand, Director of IPPUDO Malaysia Dato Rosie Tan, Japanese ambassador to Thailand HE Mr Shigekazu Sato and IPPUDO’s Founder Shigemi Kawahara. Guests at the event included Chart Chirathivat, Managing Director of Central Embassy; Sirikate Chirakiti, Central Department Store's executive vice president for store operation; Anthony Tan, CEO and founder of GrabTaxi; Kulsiree Arthachinta , Senior Ads and PR Manager, Shiseido (Thailand) Co., Ltd; Dr Ausanee Mahagitsiri Leonio, CEO of KDN Co., Ltd; Lee Puengboonpra; Manida Plengsrisuk; Pornthiva Nakasai; Monlahcha Skulthai; Chulita Areepipatkul and Jatuporn Chantraprapavut. Executives performed the special ceremonies of Sake Barrel Breaking (Kagami-biraki). During the Sake Barrel Breaking ceremony, the lid of the sake barrel (kagami) is broken open (biraki) by a wooden mallet and the sake is served to everyone present. The round shape of the lid symbolises harmony and the ceremony is said to bring good fortune.
