You will have the chance to see just how creative Chinese vegetarian cuisine can be during Thailand’s annual vegetarian festival, when Chyna at Centra Central Station Hotel Bangkok has a special veggie a la carte available from 21 September to 2 October.
Appetisers include barbecued vegetarian red pork, and deep-fried mixed vegetables wrapped in Chinese pancake. There is a selection of soups, including vegetarian hot and sour soup and sweet corn creamed with asparagus, while the main course listing includes stir-fried vegetarian squid with mushrooms in brown sauce, wok-fried vegetarian scallops with seasonal vegetables, and steamed bean curd with ginger and black mushrooms.
Rice and noodle dishes include Hokkian-style vegetarian fried rice, and fried rice with assorted vegetarian seafood wrapped in lotus leaf. All main course items are served as a choice of individual or family-sized dishes.
Chyna is set on the rooftop of Centra Central Station Hotel Bangkok, with seating available indoors or on the outdoor terrace, and featuring spectacular views across Chinatown.
The menu is authentically Chinese, with traditional dishes presented in an innovative contemporary style.
