On August 27, 2014, Royal Cliff Hotels Group Executive Director, Mr. Vitanart Vathanakul, gamely took on the Ice Bucket Challenge that has taken the world by storm.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is an activity that consists of people with buckets of ice and ice-cold water poured on them to help raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
Mr. Vathanakul was nominated by Mr. Nuttanai Anuntarumporn, Managing Director of Interlink Communication and Ms. Michelle Behrmann, a rising actress from Thailan Television Channel 3. In accepting the challenge and taking part in this altruistic campaign, he will personally donate 150,000 THB together with Royal Cliff Hotels Group, who will match his donation with another 150,000 THB making it a total of 300,000 THB going to the following charities: The ALS association, The Pattaya Orphanage and Pattaya Redemptorist School for the Blind.

Following the rules of the Ice bucket campaign Mr. Vathanakul challenges three of his good friends to take the Ice Bucket Challenge with him: Mr. Karan Khemani, Chief Executive Officer at Neuchâtel Ltd & Bugscore Ltd, Mr. Zisis Skouloudis, Chief Operating Officer at Bugscore Ltd. and Mr. Kene Ejikeme, Managing Director of Goldman Sachs.
