A revolutionary approach to bathroom construction which aims to reduce costs, save time and improve quality has been launched in Thailand. The innovative module system, designed by architects in Japan, encompasses all the needs of a modern bathroom in a simple and easy to install design.
While Bathroom ModuleSystem (BMS) was initially developed to save construction time, its popularity with architects and designers has instigated a more stylish and sophisticated approach resulting in a range of modern bathroom amenities that fit the needs of developers and constructors. Importantly, the modular system of the design ensures rapid construction without the need for highly skilled labour.
“A tried and tested method of constructing bathrooms in Japan, Wako BMS has been adopted in almost 100% of newly constructed hotels and apartments and 94% of detached homes. The popularity and success of the system gives us a lot of confidence in taking the design to other markets, and Thailand, with its rapid development and energetic construction industry, is a great match for the product.” said Mr. Nishida Ryuichi the president of Wako Seisakusho Co.,Ltd.
WAKO BMS (WAKO Bathroom Modular System) will be available in a range of designs that blend beautifully designed bathroom fitting with the best of Japanese technology. To meet a range of design needs, WAKO BMS is available in a variety of materials, from natural stone to beautiful mosaic glass tiles.
The system has been introduced to Thailand by Wako Thailand and will be distributed by DP Ceramic, a leading distributor of bathroom products in Thailand.
“We are delighted to be chosen as the sole distributor for WAKO BMS. With high quality materials and a clear method of assembly incorporating all plumbing essentials we believe WAKO BMS will be a very attractive option for constructors in Thailand. Additionally, they will see immediate benefits from the simplicity of installation and reduction in costs and time in a demanding industry,”said Mr. Prasit Nopparatnapalai, Deputy Managing Director of DP Ceramic Co., Ltd.
Initially, DP Ceramic will stock four different models of WAKO BMS:
UN/HI: This high-end model is custom made using the same high quality materials used in conventional bathrooms, such as porcelain tiles, natural stone and glass. It is best suited to be used as en-suite bathrooms in master bedrooms or in four- or five-star hotels.
UN/TC: Designed for use in hospitals and serviced apartments, where maintenance is important, this standard class WAKO BMS is configured with laminated steel panel walls and FRP floor. The lack of traditional joints makes this bathroom very easy to clean.
PLANO/NX: Taking its inspiration from Japanese style bathing this model contains only the bathtub and shower booth, keeping the toilet and wash basin separate. Its ultra clean lines and simply designed space give the bathroom a truly minimalist look for a simple and modern home.
SUBACO: A stand-alone bathroom that includes all modern bathroom amenities, this design can be adapted to the space available. As a result, it is the perfect fit for remodeling, conversions or small spaces.
