WeChat 6.0 for iOS introduces the new Sight feature to instantly capture videos on-the-go
We are thrilled to announce WeChat 6.0 for iOS now available for download. Take your WeChat experience to the next level with the new video capturing feature, Sight. Shoot a quick 6-second video clip and share instantaneously with your friends through Moments or chats. Sharing all of the action with your friends has never been so quick, fun and entertaining. WeChat 6.0 also sports an appealing improvement in the user-interface design to make it iOS 8 compatible, along with some minor bug fixes.
It’s time to get your film rolling to capture and share your life through Sight. In WeChat, simply pull down the screen in your main WeChat chats tab to view the Sight screen. Press and hold the video icon to record and release to send. After creating your video, select who you want to send the clip to, or even post it to Moments, and you’re done. You can now capture exciting video-worthy moments as they happen right in front of you.
Already in a chat? Why not send a Sight video for extra fun and laughs? While in the chat screen, tap the “+” button and then select the Sight button to begin.
Sight videos are seemlessly integrated into your social communications experience and will automatically play while connected on 3G or WiFi.
Keep capturing your life and sharing the excitement by posting and sharing your 6-second video onto your Moments timeline - a streaming feed of you and your friends' photos. Visit your Moments tab and tap the camera icon to post a new Moment. Just choose “Sight” and start filming.
In addition to the brand new Sight feature, WeChat 6.0 gives users several visual enhancements, including a new tab bar for iOS and full iOS 8 compatibility. What are you waiting for?
