Goodyear Thailand, in collaboration with the Ayutthaya Natural Resources& Environmental Protection Volunteer Network Association, recently showed their support for the 2014 National Waterways Conservation & Development Day. As part of the efforts, Goodyear Thailand presented bicycles, sportswear, caps and Goodyear merchandise items to the association in order to bring happiness to Thai youths at a “Return Happiness to Thais, Return Vitality to Water” event, which was held at Bang Sai Nai Temple, Taolao Sub-district, Bangsai District, Ayutthaya.
The “Return Happiness to Thais, Return Vitality to Water” event was supported by various activities focused on the conservation and development of waterways, including weed removal from waters, EM fertilizer preparation and the establishment of a fish bank in the neighboring waterways. These activities were held to generate more awareness about the conservation of natural resources among Thai youth; providing diverse species of fish with more habitable areas in which to swim; promotion of fish breeding; and generating more employment opportunities for members of the community.
