TILOG 2014 Attracted over 79.46% more of International Buyers compared to last year’s event Generating an Estimated Annual Trade Value of more than 649 Million Baht

Bangkok--14 Oct--Integrated Communication The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce recorded a substantial increase from last year’s event with over 79.46% more of overseas buyers attending TILOG 2014. This as a result has generated an estimated annual trade value of over 649 Million Thai Baht. Mrs.Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, Director-General of the Department of international Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, revealed that the 11th Thailand International Logistics Fair or TILOG 2014 was very well received by exporters, importers, international entrepreneurs, and logistics operators both local and overseas. It was especially remarkable to see a 79.46% increase of the number of international buyers attending the event compared to last year’s. Out of overseas participants from the 13 countries, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, and Malaysia were the top 5 countries attending TILOG 2014. As for the Business Matching program, there were as many as 451 overseas buyers from 13 countries participating such as Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, France and so on. The annual trade value generated in this program was estimated at around 649,751,500 Thai Baht. The top 5 products and services predicted to generate the largest trade volumes were integrated logistics services, IT services and software, cargo and distribution services, packaging tools and equipment, and consultation services. “I can proudly say that TILOG 2014 was such a successful event which met all our objectives.
