Bangkok--Jun 18-- The Siam Cement Group
Thai MMA Co., Ltd., a joint venture between cementhai Chemicals Co., Ltd, a holding company of the Siam Cement Group, which is the country's major supplier of a complete range of petrochemical products, and Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. of Japan, the world's leading manufacturer of methyl Methacrytic Acid (MMA), officially raised the curtain on its new MMA plant. With a capacity of 55,000 tons per year, the factory produces MMA, a raw material for use in the engineering plastic industry as well as in the production of synthetic glass for the auto and construction industry and for use as a monomer for acrylic.
