When the quiet and emission-free Automower® robotic mower was launched in 1995 it wasn’t just a new product – it was the first definition of an entirely new product category. Intelligent mowing
The Automower® models cut just a few millimetres of grass each time it passes. That means great mulching, as the fine clippings are short enough to return to the lawn as a potent fertilizer – leaving thick and moss free grass. And, with the height adjustment feature available in models Automower® 320 and 330X, the mowing intensity actually adapts to each individual lawn, meaning that the faster the grass grows the more active the mower gets.
Smart navigation
A boundary wire, easily placed along the lawn edges, defines the cutting area. Once that and the charging station have been installed you are basically ready to go. And, making the Automower® even more efficient, the 330X model offers a built-in GPS – a system that enhances the irregular cutting pattern by enabling the mower to register which areas it has already covered. The irregular movement, found in all models, is one of the main keys behind the Automower® success. As it constantly cuts from different angles all track marks are eliminated, leaving nothing but an even, carpet-like finish.
Improved handling – and durability
The robotic mowers come with Li-Ion battery technology, which gives a long battery life and increasing performance at high temperatures. They latest models also boast an improved user interface with a larger display, and a resolution four times as high. And, for bigger lawns where the mower may be working far away, a handy “call-home button” has been added to the charging station: One push and Automower® will reroute instantly and return to base.
