Ms. Chutima Bunyapraphasara (third left), permanent secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, recently presided over the opening of the Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) 2014 together with Mr. Arjun Goswami (second right),director of the Office of Regional Economic Integration, Asian Development Bank, and Mr. Ravi Ratnayake (third right),director of the Trade and Investment Division, United Nations ESCAP, the chiefs of the forum’s two co-organizers, at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangna. The APTFF aims to promote an open exchange of experience and practices in trade facilitation in Asia Pacific and strengthen regional cooperation in international trade. Also present at the forum’s opening were Mr. Md. Ghulam Hussain (first left), chairman of the National Board of Revenue, Bangladesh, Mrs. Nuntawan Sakuntanaga (second left), director general of the Department of International Trade Promotion, and Ms. Payao Sookmak, assistant director general of the Department of International Trade Promotion.
