AirAsia joins hands with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to welcome contestants of Vietnam’s Next Top Model Season 5 to Thailand for a retreat and activities. Both organizations have joined to showcase the beauty of Bangkok to the people of Vietnam as they watch the world famous model competition reality show.
Ms. Pornpun Rattanapitakkul, Indochina Marketing Manager for the AirAsia Group, conveyed that AirAsia is honored to be the airline supporting Vietnam’s Next Top Model, a program that has become widely popular in Vietnam and is now in its fifth season. The show’s fun image and openness to all to pursue their dreams of becoming models is in line with AirAsia’s wish to exude friendliness as well as with its motto “Everyone Can Fly”. By taking part in the show this year, AirAsia has added a new activity to the program and has flown all the aspiring models from Ho Chi Minh for a fashion shoot in Bangkok, a special addition making this season stand out from those previous.
Mrs. Jamnong Junnapiya, Director of the ASEAN, South Asia and South Pacific Region for TAT, explained that Vietnam’s Next Top Model is a well known project both regionally and globally. Having the show’s contestants travel to a shoot in Thailand will promote the Kingdom’s travel destinations to over 90 million people worldwide who are fans of Vietnam’s Next Top Model through Facebook, YouTube, Zing TV and elsewhere. The promotion will help add value to Thailand for travelers by showcasing a memorable experience and making Thailand a dream destination.

Vietnam’s Next Top Model is a reality program that searches for new male and female models and is produced by Multimedia JSC (Vietnam) under license from the world famous America’s Next Top Model program. The show airs every Saturday at 20.00 hrs on VTV3. Each week, the contesting models must perform set missions and take part in themed photo shoots that are to be judged by a panel of experts from the world of fashion who also provide tips recommendations for the contestants. One contestant is voted off the show each week, leaving a winner on the final week that is given a prize as well as the chance to step into the international fashion industry.
