Bangkok Bank attends Thai-Myanmar Trade Fair, reflecting its position as the only Thai bank to receive a license to upgrade its Myanmar operation to a branch

The fair was organized by the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand and held at the OTOP Exhibition and Convention Center, Mae Sot, Tak province. Bangkok Bank’s booth at the fair shared information about Myanmar with visitors and advised them on trade and investment. Bangkok Bank opened a representative office in Yangon more than 19 years ago. Recently the bank was honored to be one of nine foreign banks – and the only Thai bank – to have received preliminary approval from the Myanmar government to commence banking operations in Myanmar.
