Bangkok--4 Nov--Aziam Burson-Marsteller
DHL Express, the world's leading international express service provider, will again showcase its important "deliver in style” role in Thailand’s fashion industry at the Siam Paragon Bangkok International Fashion Week 2014 at Parc Paragon, as the event’s Official Logistics Partner.
From November 6-9 2014, Asia’s trend-setting fashion design creations will be on full display in Bangkok under the theme “Digital Fashion”.
DHL Express, the Official Logistics Partner for Siam Paragon Bangkok International Fashion Week, is providing perfect-fit solutions needed to bring around 200 kilograms of fashion wares from Singapore and Italy to the stage. The growing public attention and appeal of the fashion week – four days with 5 international designers and 9 Thai designers – elevates the importance of logistics support before, during and after the event.
“We are delighted to once again celebrate our partnership in sponsoring Fashion Week, which began in the US (Miami, LA and New York). We continue to build on our many successes in those cities, and we look forward to leveraging those activities in Thailand to support the Thai fashion industry, which had steadily gained popularity in the international fashion landscape,” commented Yasmin Aladad Khan, Senior Vice President, DHL Express South East Asia and South Asia.
“The fashion industry is both extremely fast paced and very demanding in terms of quality control and there is considerable pressure on these talented designers to have all their creations delivered in perfect condition and first to market,” said Chananyarak Phetcharat, Managing Director, DHL Express Thailand and Indochina. “Our expert logistics support and portfolio of solutions extends to RFID tracking services, customs clearance support and extra distribution routes to handle increased volume and those critical last minute deliveries of these fashion wares.”
In recent years, DHL has developed specific logistics solutions to fashion and apparel customers ranging from large retail groups and fashion houses with complex international distribution requirements to small fashion boutiques requiring one-off service. The solutions have been developed to meet the growing demands of the industry, from international supply chain solutions, warehousing, distribution center management, e-commerce fulfillment services and home delivery, through to further added value services such as tailor-made packaging, stitching inspections, quality controls and even washing and ironing services.
