Thaicom PLC led by Ms. Suphajeee Suthumpun, Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO, together with Mr. Vuthi Asvasermcharoen, Chief Financial Officer (First from left) joined the reception hosted by the 4 financial-arranging banks to celebrate the success issuance of the debentures for THAICOM 7 project. The four commercial banks include Kasikorn Bank Public Company Limited, Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited, Thanachart Bank Public Company Limited and Standard Chartered bank (Thai), of which executive representatives namely MR. Teeranun SriHong, President of Kasikorn Bank Public Company Limited (Third from right), Mr.Kittiphun Anutarasoti, Senior Executive Vice President of Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited (Second from left), Ms.Poonlap Chatavongviriya , Senior Vice President, Investment Banking of Thanachart Bank Public Company Limited (First from right) and Mr. Plakorn Wanglee, Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Origination and Client Coverage of Standard Chartered bank (Thai) Public Company Limited (Second from right), attended the reception. The ceremony held at the St. Regis Bangkok on November 21st, 2014.
Thaicom has issued 5-year and 7-year Senior Debentures in the total amount of Baht 4,550 Million to individuals and institutional investors. The debentures issuance, as of 29 July 2014, has been accredited “A-“with the “Stable” outlook by Tris Rating Co., Ltd. The success of this issuance reflects the investors' strong confidence in Thaicom’s performance. And to reduce more than 50% of the interest, Thaicom has used the capital from the debentures as a prepayment for THAICOM 7 Satellite Loan and for the investment in THAICOM 8 Satellite Project which will reduce the company’s financial cost of investment and also for additional future projects.
