Conrad Bangkok Hotel – Conrad Bangkok Hotel lead by Harald Feurstein General Manager, welcomed the 2014 festive season with the hotel’s second annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The hotel welcomed revered guests and patrons alongside their families and friends to a joyous evening of Christmas celebrations. As a part of Conrad Bangkok’s initiative to give back to the community, Conrad Bangkok partnered up with Operation Smile Thailand by retailing a limited run of Christmas Elephant dolls alongside with a gallery of canvas printed limited edition goldfish images by Khun Visarute Angkatavanich. Funds put together from the event will be donated to bringing back smiles on young children’s faces via Operation Smile Thailand.
The event began with a special live performance of Christmas songs by Jazz Diva Tabitha King followed by a special candle parade by hotel staff. Harald Feurstein graciously opened the ceremony with a memorable speech which was followed by the lighting of the 7.5 meter tall Christmas tree. The lighting of the tree was a spectacle of its own, keeping guests on their feet and illuminating the entire lobby floor area. The ceremony was then graced with Christmas carols by The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints Combined Choir. Guests were able to explore a variety of Christmas inspired desserts and refreshments including the Christmas Stollen, Dundee Fruit Cake, Glühwein, Eggnog, and various others.
