The management of Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok led by Khunying Jawaratana Tejavej, Special Advisor, and Mr. J. Edward Brea, General Manager, officiated the “Light Up the Lives of Blind Children” Charity Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony to raise scholarship funds for blind students of The Christian Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King at the hotel’s Lobby Lounge recently.
Honourary guests joining the event included Mr. Gabriel Liow, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore; Dr. Sompong Tanjariyaporn, Director of Lerdsin Hospital; and Ms. Orapanee Petcharat, Director of Baan Dek Ramintra School, which is the Bangkok branch of The Christian Foundation for the Blind in Thailand, and her students.
The “Light Up the Lives of Blind Children” Charity Christmas Tree takes place until 5 January 2015.
